Year-Round Strawberry Production in Oman
GrowGroup IFS played a pivotal role in one of our projects in Oman: enabling year-round local strawberry production. Initially, the investor engaged an Indian construction company to execute the project. However, over time it became clear that integrating Dutch expertise and quality was essential for the project’s success. GrowGroup IFS took the lead and guided the investor in directing the Indian company to ensure the climate technology met the high standards of a modern indoor farm.
Together with our partner from Wageningen, we designed a detailed cultivation process fully tailored to a vertical farming system. Additionally, we provided advice on selecting strawberry varieties that not only met the desired fruit size and Brix values but also performed optimally in an indoor environment.
